Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has revealed an upcoming international collaboration with American R&B icon John Legend, marking another major global moment in the artist’s career.

The self-proclaimed “African Dancehall King” made the announcement on March 12, 2026, through a post shared on his social media platforms, where he unveiled artwork for the new single titled “Ain’t Nobody.” The song is expected to blend R&B and reggae influences, reflecting the musical styles both artists are known for.

According to the announcement, the track is scheduled for official release on March 20, and Shatta Wale described the collaboration as a special offering to his global fanbase, popularly known as the Shatta Movement.

The collaboration with John Legend adds to a growing list of international milestones for the Ghanaian star. Shatta Wale previously gained worldwide recognition after featuring on “Already” by Beyoncé, a song from the Grammy-nominated The Lion King: The Gift album. The project introduced his sound to a global audience and remains one of the most significant cross-continental collaborations involving a Ghanaian dancehall artist.

Over the years, Shatta Wale has built a reputation as one of Africa’s most influential reggae-dancehall performers, with hits such as “Dancehall King,” “My Level,” and “Taking Over.” His music has consistently dominated Ghana’s charts while cultivating a massive and loyal fan community across the continent.

The announcement also aligns with Shatta Wale’s recent statements about intensifying efforts to expand his music internationally. Earlier in 2026, the artist indicated he was preparing to invest more resources into pushing his brand and sound onto the global stage.

A collaboration with John Legend — a multi-Grammy-winning singer and songwriter known for global hits such as All of Me and Ordinary People — signals another strategic step in that direction.

If successful, “Ain’t Nobody” could become another landmark moment in Shatta Wale’s ongoing effort to position Ghanaian dancehall firmly within the global music conversation.
